EPS working nationally
EPS has this week started on 2 new contracts, one in Hull and one in Hereford. This is alongside works underway in Scunthorpe, Taunton and Chester. The geographic spread presents logistical challenges to the company but demonstrates the companies capability to undertake varied projects across the Country. Operations Manager Lee Murphy gave some insight into how EPS are responding, “it is excellent news that our order book is so full and that we have 2 jobs on our doorstep, but of course then having sites in Chester, Hereford and Taunton has us spread out along the Western side of the Country. Ensuring the site teams are resourced correctly and that they have all the necessary plant and equipment is our first task. Obviously with such a geographic spread a lot of time is spent on the road getting to site and ensuring the installation is going in as planned and that the client is happy with it. We are fortunate that we have such professional site teams ably supported by the team based back in Hull which means we can undertake these jobs in a manner which keeps the client confident in our services”.
The works in Hereford will run into the New Year and the Hull works will complete around Christmas. Mr Murphy added “we keep hearing about economic slow downs, but all I can say is we have had a very busy year and it doesn’t look like abating. We have a lot of very exciting opportunities that will materialise in the next quarter, a result of a lot of hard work over the last 12 months in preparing the company to be able to compete and this will be on top of our regular client base, who keep returning to us. Our order book is filling up for as long as we can see, and although I’d like to secure more local installations as its easier to manage, we go where the demand is. Having so much work to be planned is a much easier problem than not having any work”.
